Quote of the week!

"I'm nerdy in the extreme and whiter than sour cream." - Weird Al' Yankovic

It all started in 1993....

Back in 1993 the University of Alabama football team was awesome. So were tight rolled blue jeans and hypercolor t-shirts...I guess you can't escape change.

But during that incredible game against the University of Miami in which the Tide won 34-13...this happened.

Now granted...the play was called back due to a flag against the Tide (ok...some things don't change) but it was still one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. To this day in Bryant-Denny Stadium when that play is shown during the pre-game video...it draws wild cheers from everybody. Now the guy who George Teague embarrassed was Lamar Thomas. Apparently things have been downhill for this guy ever since he was owned by Teague. He has quite the rap sheet including several domestic abuse charges...not the least of which involved assaulting his pregnant girlfriend with a deadly weapon. Nice.

Where is Lamar Thomas now? As of this past weekend...he was working for Comcast caling the Florida International/University of Miami game. Take a listen to his comments.

What an idiot.

By the way...where is George Teague now? Well according to wikipedia...

"In 2002, he started the George Teague & Friends Foundation, a charity organization comprised of many former University Of Alabama football players.

George Teague now coaches high school football at Harvest Christian Academy in Watauga, Texas. He is also taking online classes at the United States Sports Academy to complete his bachelor's degree in sports coaching."

It looks like the Tide won that match-up too.

I gotta feed my kids

Anna and I helped Bart move some last night. I figured that it's the least we could do.

But things quickly escalated from "moving" to "looting".

Don't judge me....I needed that cable box to feed my kids.

My eyes! My eyes!

Go to Bart's blog, A.K.A. "Who Barted?", and check out this post.

This is what those lights look like turned on....they're like the sun...except ugly, fluorescent, and brighter.
